Scooters / ATVs - Terms & Conditions

AGE REQUIREMENT: For all Scooter and ATV vehicle groups, the maximum age is 65 years old.

DRIVER'S LICENSE NOTICE: All customers must present a valid national driving license. Driving a scooter (even a 50cc) with a car license is not allowed in Greece. Provisional licenses, learner permits or temporary licenses are not accepted in any case. If your driving license was issued before 19/01/2013 (for EU residents) or you are in doubt, please e-mail us the image of the back side of your driving card (or driving document).We will inform you about what you are allowed to drive.

• For bike rentals up to 50cc the renter must hold a valid driving license (AM category) issued at least (1) one year before the rental.
• For bike rentals up to 125cc the renter must be at least 21 years old and must hold a valid driving license (A1 category) issued at least (1) one year before the rental.
• For bike rentals up to 400cc (200cc, 300cc, 350cc, 400cc) the renter must be at least 27 years old and must hold a valid driving license (A2 category) issued at least (1) one year before the rental.
• For ATV rentals, the renter must be at least 24 years old and must hold a car driving license (B category) issued at least (2) two years before the rental.

STANDARD INSURANCE: All authorized drivers of Auto Traffic Rentals vehicles are covered against damages from Fire to the rented vehicle, and Liability Insurance to Third Party death, injury, and property.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW): Covers damages or theft resulting from an accident to the rental scooter or quad, as well as third-party vehicle damages, provided no violation of Greek Traffic Law has occurred. The renter’s maximum liability is limited to the agreed excess amount. However, all damage costs to the rented scooter or quad will be charged to the renter depending on the extent and value of the damage. Minor damages are also chargeable. CDW becomes void if the renter violates Greek Traffic Law, and standard insurance will apply. In case of an accident, do not acknowledge responsibility to any third party before contacting “Auto Traffic Rentals” via Telephone or WhatsApp at +30 694 570 4344.

FULL DAMAGE WAIVER (FDW - Excess): The renter’s liability for theft or damage to the rented scooter or quad (excess) can be reduced, under the condition that the Greek Traffic Law is not violated. This optional Full Damage Waiver (F.D.W) is available during the rental period and upon agreement with Auto Traffic Rentals and covers damages to the rented vehicle above the agreed excess amount, provided the renter has accepted and signed the relevant terms of the contract. The excess amount is determined based on the category of the scooter or quad. F.D.W applies only when driving on asphalt roads - driving off-road, on mountains, dirt roads, rocky paths, or beaches is strictly prohibited and not covered. Accidents involving persons not listed in the rental agreement are excluded, and no insurance covers stolen personal belongings left in or on the vehicle.

• Drivers may reduce the excess for motorbikes up to 50cc and 125cc with a daily charge of € 6/day.
• Drivers may reduce the excess for motorbikes up to 200cc, 300cc, 350cc and 400cc with a daily charge of € 9/day.
• Drivers may reduce the excess for ATVs with a daily charge of € 10/day.

INSURANCE NOTICE (Cases Not Covered By Insurance): In the event of a violation of Greek Traffic Laws (such as running a red light, DUI, ignoring a stop sign, etc.) resulting in an accident, the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Full Damage Waiver (FDW) will be rendered void. Under such circumstances, only the conditions of the Standard Insurance will apply. In the event of an accident, the renter should not under any circumstances leave the scene, or the insurance will be rendered void. Should an accident occur the render must contact Auto Traffic Rentals via Telephone or WhatsApp at +30 694 570 4344. Off - Road driving is not covered by insurance. Only drivers who are listed in our contracts are insured and allowed to drive our vehicles. In case of damage from concession of the vehicle to any other unauthorized driver the renter is fully responsible.

HELMETS: We provide mainly open-faced helmets with visors or no visors.

RETURN POLICY & PENALTIES: The vehicle must be returned punctually to avoid delay fees of € 10 per hour. A grace period of 29 minutes is allowed.

FUEL POLICY: Renter pays for fuel and returns car with the same fuel level. Refill costs may apply if the level is lower. Any excess fuel at return will not be subject to reimbursement.

IMPROPER USE OF VEHICLE: If any staff member observes the renter engaging in reckless or inappropriate behavior while operating the vehicle, the company reserves the right to immediately reclaim the vehicle without any compensation or refund to the renter.

TRAFFIC FINES & ADMIN FEES: In case of a traffic fine, the renter is obliged to provide Auto Traffic Rentals with a copy of the payment receipt. If the renter fails to inform Auto Traffic Rentals about any traffic fine they received, the fine will be forwarded through the relevant embassy.

BOOKING & CANCELLATION: All bookings must be confirmed by office staff to be valid. The booking is considered valid upon receiving an Order and Confirmation Number from Auto Traffic Rentals staff. Renters may cancel, but the deposit is not refundable.

FLEET AVAILABILITY & VEHICLE REPLACEMENT: Company may replace vehicle with similar/equivalent model.

OFF-ISLAND USAGE (ZAKYNTHOS): The use of any Scooter or ATV outside the island of Zakynthos is prohibited.

ROAD ASSISTANCE: Included during Office Hours (from 07:30 to 22:00). Extra charges may apply outside these hours. Contact via Telephone or WhatsApp at +30 694 570 4344.

PAYMENT METHOD: For all groups a valid Credit/Debit Card (American Express not accepted) is accepted by Auto Traffic Rentals. Bank transfer and/or cash is also an available option.

PENALTIES

• Late Return: € 10/hour. A 29-minutes grace period is allowed.
• Unpaid Traffic Fines: Failure to report and present fine and proof of payment will result in administrative charges.

FINAL NOTES: All prices are valid exclusively for internet bookings. Prices for walk-in bookings may vary. Auto Traffic Rentals reserves the right to deny a booking. In the event of any disputes, the courts of Zakynthos, Greece shall have jurisdiction.
